The book series »Global Perspectives on Legal History« is edited by the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History. As its title suggests, the series is designed to advance the scholarly research of legal historians worldwide who seek to transcend the established boundaries of national legal scholarship that typically sets the focus on a single, dominant modus of normativity and law. The series aims to privilege studies dedicated to reconstructing the historical evolution of normativity from a global perspective. It includes monographs, editions of sources, and collaborative works. All titles in the series are published online in open access and as high-quality print-on-demand versions. more

Language Science Press publishes high quality, peer-reviewed open-access books in the field of linguistics. All publications are free for both authors and readers. The books are published under a CC-BY licence by default. The press features eight book series (check them out on the left), and more will be coming soon. Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics is an open access peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the European Geosciences Union. It covers research on the Earth's atmosphere and the underlying chemical and physical processes, including the altitude range from the land and ocean surface up to the turbopause, including the troposphere, stratosphere, and mesosphere.
The establishment of the journas was essentialy initiated by Prof. Ulrich Pöschl who is heading a research group at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, Biogeo­chemistry Department, in Mainz. more

Living Reviews are scientific open access journals, publishing review articles that provide insightful surveys on research progress in the fields they cover, and guiding readers to the most important literature in the field.
The journal series started in 1998 with Living Reviews in Relativity initiated by Bernard Schutz and Christina Weyher at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics.

In June 2015, Springer has acquired the three pioneering ‘living’ open access journals. The Max Planck Society will continue to be involved in the journals, e.g. by making suggestions concerning the makeup of their editorial boards. more
